The US dollar is the strongest currency in the world for analog traditional money (atm) and yet every decade it loses more an more of its purchasing power. That one US$ from 1950 has the same purchasing power as US$0.006 today! Yes, that’s LESS THAN 1 PENNY! Investing in SPX is practically required just to stay even (this is not investment advice)!
Just for fun, we can keep going by adding cars, gas, and homes on a logarithmic scale….poor, weak US$ has the 1950 value of only 4 cents for a car, 7 cents for gas, and only 3 cents for a house.
