Identify a specific market pattern
The provided Pine Script is a TradingView indicator designed to identify a specific market pattern and plot entry and exit points with profit or loss (PnL) information directly on the chart. Here's what it does:
Identifies a Pattern:
Checks for three consecutive days where the closing price is lower than the previous day's close (down days) and the close is below the open.
Entry and Exit Criteria:
When the above pattern is detected, it marks:
Entry: On the close price of the third down day.
Exit: On the close price of the fourth day.
PnL Calculation:
Calculates the profit or loss (PnL) as the difference between the exit price (4th day close) and the entry price (3rd day close).
Visual Representation:
Plots a green "Entry" label on the chart at the entry point.
Plots a red "Exit" label on the chart at the exit point, displaying the calculated PnL.
Date Filter:
Only considers patterns occurring after a user-specified start date
