🟢🔴 Open – Consecutive Bull/Bear Bars v3
- Tracks the first bars of the session.
- Highlights when the open starts with 2+ consecutive bull or bear bars—useful for researching spike behavior.
This research tool helps traders study **spikes on the open**, which often fail—roughly **50% of the time**. It identifies when the session begins with a string of **consecutive bullish or bearish bars**, which can signal a strong open or a potential fade setup.
🔍 **What it does:**
* Detects the start of the trading day
* Counts the first **2 or more consecutive** bullish or bearish bars (user-configurable)
* If all are bullish, plots a 🟢 label
* If all are bearish, plots a 🔴 label
* Marks appear above the last bar in the sequence
⚙️ **Settings:**
* You can choose how many bars to check (e.g., 2, 3, 4+)
* Default is 3 bars
📈 **Why this matters:**
Many opening spikes **fail and reverse**, especially after consecutive bars in one direction. This indicator helps you:
* Research spike failure rates
* Build stats on early-session conviction
* Design structured trade entries or filters
