SOCRATES Reversals Plotter

Introduction
This script is intended for users of the Socrates platform. This is located on ask-socrates.com which is property of AE Global Solutions, Inc.

Background
It is cumbersome to track the reversal system on the proprietary platform especially when users want to combine it with real-time data on TradingView. Some active reversals, especially those on the daily level change quite often and updating the charts regularly takes a lot of time. Therefore I've created this script primarily for the following reasons:
  • Simplify the process of keeping the charts updated
  • Standardize the look of the graphs so that they can be quickly understood when shared with other users for studying purposes and discussions

Features
v1.0 (20201203)
  • Add up to 5 daily/weekly/monthly reversals which will plot and format automatically
  • Easily hide daily/weekly/monthly reversals as a group
  • Highlight the range of a given unit of reversals. This takes the values of the lowest bullish and highest bearish reversals. They are expected to be written in #01 fields
  • Don't forget to use the option to "Save As Default" at the bottom of the Inputs tab. This will make sure all your reversals are stored even if you remove the indicator from your graph

v1.1 (20201204)
  • Added alerts when a bullish reversal is crossed intraday from the bottom or a bearish is crossed from the top (i.e. not necessarily elected). Unfortunately TV scripts can't activate the alerts for you. They are only listed as suggestions and you have to select which ones you want manually. Depending on your strategy you might want to select a #3 or #4 to highlight an important move, or the #1 on a bigger time frame. You will find the alerts under Alerts [Alt+A] -> Select SOC under the condition -> Select the reversal and save. IMPORTANT: Alerts are saved in the given time, meaning the alert condition will not update if you change the value of the reversal afterwards.

v1.2 (20201204)
  • New theme added. After a request from our community I got a specification for a different formatting of the reversals. I kept my original theme as well so you can change them dynamically
  • Minor/Major reversals. There is an option to mark a reversal as major. The line will format accordingly. This option is grouped at the end of each section because tabulator does not work well in TV and I want to keep the process of updating the reversals quick and easy

v1.3 (20201206)
  • Adjusted the colors in LY theme
  • Non-functional improvements. It is getting more complex so I rewrote the whole code in a more "proper" way. Also TV just released new array types for lines and strings which came in very handy and I implemented them too. This will make future development much easier especially when I start adding some actual logic
  • Double/Triple reversals. Now it is possible to mark a reversal as minor/major/single-triple and combinations of these.
  • Reordered the input fields. Tabulator works well now so it is possible to update numbers quickly.

v2.0 (20201212)
  • Simplified the indicator to make it possible to complicate :). Now one indicator is dedicated to only one time unit. You can add another indicator for the time units you wish. This declutters the input form and also the bar with indicator details on your graph. You can also easily hide a group of reversals on this bar. This way you keep the weekly/monthly/quarterly safe from editing while you easily update the dailies on a regular basis.
  • Quarterly reversal type added
  • Intraday Projected Crash Mode/Intraday Breakout Resistance Points. Now it is possible to easily maintain the primary and secondary intraday points on your charts. Use this when you are either expecting a reversal or a breakout on the day
  • Added price labels on LY. Hovering over the labels also shows the price.
  • Made labels on LY smaller
Notas de prensa
v2.1 (20201214)
  • Hotfix where reversals and labels were drawn over when a new bar was generated on the graph

Release Notes: v3.0 (20210526)
Several new features were added into Pine Script since the last update, so I put them to use:
  • Input window is now more readable thanks to inline dropdowns and grouping of values. Due to the high number of input fields I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to hide the parameters in the chart legend. Go to Chart Properties -> Status line -> tick off Indicator Arguments. You get a cleaner chart.
  • Reversals table on the chart! This is a brand new feature in Pine View. I've added a table in Armstrong Economics theme which will display your reversals AND it will dynamically highlight those reversals that are tentatively elected! TIP: If you for example want to declutter your graph and only see the table and no reversal lines, go to Settings -> Style -> tick off Labels, Lines,... Tables
  • You are able to re-position the reversals table from the Inputs window
  • Fix: The Breakout Resistance and Crash Mode points will now delete the previous arrow with a new tick on the chart (handy in case you are looking at less than 1D)
