Patricia was asking / calling this a breakaway gap. I agree. Great volume, all time high, MCD is breaking out of a large distribution phase.
2015 has been HORRIBLE for ATH break outs. Therefore, I estimate MCD will pull back at some point. So, if you want to own shares, could consider either
a) put sale
b) buy stock on the pull back
