The Absolute Price Oscillator displays the difference between two exponential moving averages of a security's price and is expressed as an absolute value. How this indicator works APO crossing above zero is considered bullish, while crossing below zero is bearish. A positive indicator value indicates an upward movement, while negative readings ...
Another basic strategy most people learn at the beginning of their trading carreer (like me) is the RSI strategy. This is an adaptation of the built-in RSI strategy for use in binary options. Who knows, maybe one day i will graduate to CFD trading, but my time for trading in general is limited at the moment and I am very much still at the beginning of this entire...
Taken from an article "The Yen Recused" in the December 1998 issue of TASC, written by Dennis Meyers. He describes the Recursive MA in mathematical terms as "recursive polynomial fit, a technique that uses a small number of past values of the estimated price and today's price to predict tomorrows price." Red bars color - short position. Green is long. ...
Crazy curve fitting, but I'm just trying to practice writing strategies. If only it were actually this easy!
I saw this indicator and thought I'd try to make it into a script. I can't get an exit when the EMA is between signal lines so it's a long/short strategy until I can figure that part out.
Line Break Strategy Entry rule: Long on a bullish line and short on a bearish line. Backtest: Profit factors are shown below for three-line break. Daily time frame, FXCM broker. Once again, I wish that tradingview offered at least a year of data on 15 minute time frames, but too bad. The only issue is that the last 2 and 1/2 months over which this was backtested is not enough and does not provide actual representation of future results. However, if it is, then I can comfortably earn 100%+ every month on average.
Here you get a script with the rules for "Glory Hole"-Strategy from Linda Raschke. In Addition, I choose the SMA - not the EMA for this script. MY RECOMMONDATION: If you get a trade Signal, then set an sell- oder buy-order on the high or low. If the next bar doesn't touch into the trade, then delete your order. Have fun and good look.
This is a Linear Regression Channel tool, similar to the hand tool in the left toolbar, but it automates the drawing. It has a rolling look back. Range mode shorts the upper channel and longs the lower crossover with no closing rules. Trend mode longs the break out and closes at the regression. It draws a linear line between the candles then computes an upper and...
Hi Everyone, Do you guys know how can I add an exit strategy to this hilo. I would like it to exit either with hilo invertion (already does) or with profit/loss (it doesn't work) Thank you
Hi everyone. This is my first strategy ever. So, I'm having a trouble with the exits and was wondering if anyone could help me out. The error says that the order's limit was reached. Doesn't matter if I back test it just for one day. Any ideas on what's going on?
This is my variation of the famous Drexel Strategy. I've modified a few of the things, for instance using a JMA smoothing average as well as the RSX calculation from LazyBear. This strategy does not repaint I do not think, when I called the high and low I used or calculated things from open. I believe I avoided curve fitting because I get similar results across...
Making this one an open script for you people. Commission_value = 0.02 is the same as a 50 pip gold spread. Start capital $10,000. 1.00 lots = 1 contract on this. Trend establishment with the 600 period moving average, trend continuation with the crossover/crossunder. This strategy is great for finding trends on XAUUSD. Side note: if anyone knows MQL4...
ParSar and MACD strategy depends on the crosses of PARSAR indicator above/below the closing price and is filtered by the MACD indicator. it yields good profits on stocks. however, it doesn't work very well for Forex if you want to use it on forex please apply it to higher time frame starting from 4H.
