Fair Value CEDEARS y ETFs

Important: load together with the CEDEARdata library.

Returns the “Fair Value” of CEDEAR and CEDEAR-based ETF prices traded on ByMA, using as a reference the price of the underlying ordinary share or ETF traded on the NYSE or NASDAQ. It multiplies the NYSE/NASDAQ price by the CEDEAR or ETF conversion ratio and converts the currency to ARS or Dólar MEP using the exchange rate implied by the AL30/AL30C ratio for tickers quoted in ARS (e.g., AAPL) and AL30D/AL30C for tickers quoted in Dólar MEP (e.g., AAPLD).

If the CEDEAR or ETF quote is higher than Fair Value, it highlights the difference in red; if it is lower, it highlights it in green. If any of the markets is closed or in an auction period, it notifies the user and changes the background color.

By default, the CEDEAR or ETF quote used is the last price, but the user may choose to use the BID or OFFER instead. This allows CEDEAR and ETF buyers to compare Fair Value against the OFFER, while sellers may prefer to measure Fair Value against the BID of the local instrument.

Fair Value CEDEARS and ETFs

It multiplies or divides the NYSE/NASDAQ price by the CEDEAR or ETF conversion ratio and converts the currency to ARS or Dólar MEP using the exchange rate implied by the AL30/AL30C ratio in the case of tickers quoted in ARS (e.g., AAPL) and AL30D/AL30C for tickers quoted in Dólar MEP (e.g., AAPLD).

If the CEDEAR or ETF quote is higher than Fair Value, it highlights the difference in red; if it is lower, it highlights it in green. If any of the markets is closed or in an auction period, it notifies the user and changes the background color.

**FAIR VALUE CEDEARS - Fair Value Indicator for CEDEARs**

This indicator compares CEDEAR prices traded on BYMA against their theoretical fair value derived from the underlying stocks on NYSE/NASDAQ, adjusted for the exchange rate using AL30 bonds.

**How it works:**
Fair Value = (Underlying Price x Implicit FX Rate) / Conversion Ratio

The indicator fetches the underlying stock price from US markets, applies the implicit dollar rate (derived from AL30/AL30D), and adjusts for the CEDEAR conversion ratio to calculate what the CEDEAR should theoretically be worth in ARS.

**Features:**
• Real-time fair value calculation for CEDEARs

Este indicador compara los precios de CEDEARs operados en BYMA contra su valor justo teorico derivado de las acciones subyacentes en NYSE/NASDAQ, ajustado por tipo de cambio usando bonos AL30.

**Como funciona:**
Valor Justo = (Precio Subyacente x Tipo de Cambio Implicito) / Ratio de Conversion

El indicador obtiene el precio de la accion subyacente de mercados estadounidenses, aplica el dolar implicito (derivado de AL30/AL30D), y ajusta por el ratio de conversion del CEDEAR para calcular su valor teorico en ARS.

**Caracteristicas:**
• Calculo de valor justo en tiempo real

Update v2.1 — New visual tools and winter session fix

This update adds several UX improvements and fixes a timing issue affecting winter (EST) sessions.

New features:

Fair Value Band — a ±Threshold 1% tolerance zone is now drawn behind the deviation fill, making it easy to see when a CEDEAR is within the noise margin of fair value
Right-axis price level — the fair value line now pins its current value to the right price axis (trackprice)
Right-side deviation label — a live ▲/▼ +X.XX% tag floats at the fair value level to the right of the last bar, always visible without hovering
CEDEAR Price row — the info table now includes the current CEDEAR price as a standalone row, visible even when bond or underlying data is temporarily unavailable
Redesigned US CLOSE label — now shows 🇦🇷 ARG CLOSE price, 🇺🇸 US CLOSE data, and the ARG vs US % comparison. Compact single-line pill by default; toggle "US Close Label: expand detail" in Display settings for the full breakdown
Bug fix:

Winter (EST) session — in February–March and November, the NYSE closes at 18:00 ART, one hour after BYMA's last bar. Because no new BCBA bar is created at that time, the US CLOSE label previously never appeared on intraday charts during those months. The label now uses timenow to detect the US close independently of bar creation, so it appears correctly year-round

Como no se crea ninguna barra BCBA nueva en ese momento, la etiqueta US CLOSE no aparecía en gráficos intradía durante esos meses. Ahora usa timenow para detectar el cierre del NYSE independientemente de la creación de barras, funcionando correctamente durante todo el año

What's new in v2.2

Updated to CEDEARData library v12 — includes the latest ticker and ratio corrections.
Fair value line is now red — previously blue, the line is now bright red for better visibility and to clearly distinguish it from the CEDEAR price candles on the chart.
Stepline style by default ("Línea Escalonada") — the fair value line now renders as a step line, making it easier to read price-level changes between bars.
Larger US CLOSE label font — the compact label (shown by default after the US market closes) is now displayed in a larger font for improved readability. The expanded detail label also uses a larger size.
