Thank you for sharing your work/idea. When I short stocks I usually use cash or margin account to short but have never done it with Options. Question: Is buying simple put same as shorting stock aware of time decay disadvantage unless you close by selling your put within few minutes/hours/EOD right? Thank you for your reply. usually

@wardaK yes buying a put is shorting. Selling a put is opposite. Trick is to choose correct stock to short, with correct strikes and reasonable premium to pay for the puts

@alphainvestorsignals, Thank you men for your reply. I just lost over $12,000 shorting MRNA on equity. Had I known, should have bought Put. I am now eating my loss and all the gain of 1 year. crushed.

@wardaK, shorting is not easy. Don’t fret, everyone has their own failures. All bets cant go 100% correct. If you want to trade, then you should only focus on chart and keep your stop losses strict. Also, book your profits on time. Otherwise just stay long in a stock and avoid daily trading.
