when we buy during a breakout do we buy immediately when the price is about to be penetrated or do we add a few ticks above? if multiple ticks, is it 1-3 ticks ? thank you for the reply

@boboffua, in William O'Neil's books, he talked about 10c from pivot (not for cheap and penny stocks though). For me, its stock by stock bases. I base my trigger on visuals so its few cents above the high but there is no one # that fits all (not for me).
